Our Beautiful Mars, a Dead Planet?

It's upsetting to many of my patriotic subjects, but the truth must be faced: Life on Mars is a delicate thing, and if we do not take care of our planet, it could end up a dead world, as dead as Earth's Luna! I advise my fellow-Martians to read Martin Berman-Gorvine's latest alternate history fantasy, "New Gullies Found in a Young(ish) Crater on Mars," in this light.
The beautiful illustrations that accompany this imaginary story about a dead Mars that has been visited only by automated probes from Earth as of the Earth year 2013 show gullies carved by subliming carbon dioxide instead of by meltwater. It's all too easy to picture this happening, if our water conservation and canal-building efforts should fail and we should return to the wasteful habits of the Aries dynasty. Martians, remember: Air, soil, and water are precious resources, to be conserved and nurtured!
